Playroom Status

Here is an updated pic of the playroom status. These are the new cordless roman shades and the new paint color. The carpet comes tomorrow! I found a small, family owned business that could do it quickly. He came out to measure on Wednesday, and it will hopefully be installed by tomorrow afternoon. So, look for completed playroom pics over the weekend sometime. I can't wait to get everything back in there since it is piled up in the dining room right now!

Round Ball...Round Hole!

I was hoping to put a pic of the freshly painted walls and the new shades in the playroom but the shades proved a wee bit more difficult than I anticipated. So, we need to go get a new battery for the drill tomorrow. Here is a tubby picture of my little Einstein. He figured out that his ball fits into the hole where the little lever is suppose to be (no idea what that thing is called).

Wall

Here is a picture of one of the toys we got at a garage sale the other week. I think it is called some kind of wall. Aunt Tiffer looked it up online so she could put it together. We got this and a tunnel thing that also lights up and plays music for $5. How can you beat that? I mean it took me 15 minutes to wash it down and then forever to figure out how it is assembled....but still, great fun! The roman shades I ordered came in today! I am doing the touch ups on the room tomorrow so hopefully the shades can get hung too...and I can post a pic. We are still trying to decide on carpet, but it is coming along!

Swings..and the slide!

Ollie has started to pull himself up on things, however I have decided that he either A- makes poor choices of what he tries to pull up on, or B- he just likes to challenge himself and try to pull up on things that the "average" baby can't! i am going with option B! He pulled himself up in the tub tonight-after a few slips here and there. He also likes to use Hogan's basket of toys which sends him right back down since it weighs nothing. We took Hogan to the park tonight for a little walk and stopped for a ride on the swing, and down the slide! Sorry, no updated playroom pics yet. It has been too hot to paint! Hopefully tomorrow. I have a bridal shower tomorrow and Aunt Tiffer is Portville so we are having out first "real" babysitter tomorrow. Nothing too bad can happen in 2 hrs, right?

Who Needs Toys?

I got the wonderful idea to turn our front room into Ollie's playroom...yesterday! We had talked about it before, but once I get something in my head I just run with it. So, in my mind, I need to have it done before I head back to school. I'm sure you are thinking this is unnecessary, but we really need a "safe" room since he is all over the place now...just looking for plugs and the ends of doorstoppers! Tiffer helped me tape the room and all three of got the first coat on last night. We are calling about new carpet and I am hoping to find some new cordless blinds tomorrow. Gotta love my enthusiasm, right? (My husband..not so much, but he is such a good sport about it!) Anywho, Ollie's toys were normally in that room anyways so they are now piled in the dining room. Apparently we don't need them since he amused himself with a paper towel roll, the wall, and a basket of mixes! He banged that roll on the wall for a good 15 min! He also figured out how to push open the screen door and get on the porch )yes, I know a lock is needed) but I missed that photo op. I hope to have an updated photo soon!

Daddy Time!

Ollie was up at 3:45 this morning. I am really hoping these molars come in before I head back to school, or I am in BIG trouble! Luckily, I have a wonderful husband who took over at 6:30 and let me get some much needed rest. He took this picture while they were playing this morning. For many of you, it should not be alarming that he has a golf club and ball!

Too Sleepy!

We have been going through some teething..again, plus, Ollie has some separation anxiety from me. It makes for an interesting day! Kelli and I tried to take the kids garage sale-ing (is that even a word?). Ollie screamed for the first 15 min and I had to sit in the back with him and Kelli had to drive my car. It ended up being ok, but Ollie use to fall asleep in the car. Umm, that appears to be over and he slept a total of about 10 min in the car. So, as a result, he couldn't even make it through his lunch! On the bright side, we scored some sweet deals! I cleaned them all up and Tiffer is helping me assemble them so look for those pics tomorrow!

Drew's Sleepover

Lynne and Shawn stopped yesterday with Drew. He is getting so big! 3 months already! Here are a couple of pics of them together. Ollie was so nice..at first. Then, he tried yanking out his hair like he does to Hogan!

Ollie's New Favorite Spot

Ollie has been getting up on his knees a lot more-still not quite crawling normally yet, but he has figured out how to get up and around things now. I'm not sure if you can tell, but here he is under the coffee table. When he was just army crawling, he could not get himself over the bar. These days, he loves to sit under it and play peek-a-boo with whomever is on couch!

P.S. Daley: He loves to play on his puppy keyboard. Maybe Uncle Matt can give him some lessons....if we ever saw you! :)

BFFs share everything, right?

Ollie absolutely LOVES Hogan James. He is such a good sport about it too! He lets him rip all kinds of hair right out and the other night he let him take his bone without so much as a peep. So, when Ollie was trying to at least reciprocate by sharing his snack, I had to take a pic! (Note: Ollie "shares" plenty with Hogie during mealtimes so don't shed too many tears for him)

I usually pick up Hogan's dishes when I know Ollie is crawling around in the kitchen. Today I forgot, and he had a great time splashing in the water.

Great-Grandma Gildner

My dad brought my Grandma up to visit today. She lives in Florida during most of the year, but now stays in NY for the summer months. (She thought it would be warm!) Here they are with Ollie, Halle, Ben, and Ethan.

Bath Buddies!

Uncle Jason, Aunt Melody, Halle, Ethan, and Ben came for a visit. Papa is coming tomorrow with Great-Grandma Gildner. Ben and Ollie took a tubby together. It was so cute! Ollie was screaming (and I mean screaming!) for him while he was getting dressed. Although, not quite the same kind of scream that he did last night...ahh that dang tooth. But...it is finally through. Ollie now has 6 teeth!

Getting Stronger!

Ollie still isn't strong enough to pull himself from the floor up tot he couch..although he wants to! To help him build some confidence and strengthen some muscles, we had him practice from his Blues Clues Chair. Success!

Avery!

Ollie & I went to visit Kelli and Avery this afternoon. Daddy showed up, so we ended up staying for dinner! It was a fun impromptu little gathering. Since I hadn't planned on dinner, I didn't bring any of Ollie's stuff...so he is wearing Avery's bib. I think he looks cute in pink! I don't think you can tell from the bottom picture but Avery is pushing, (yes, I said pushing!) Ollie in the chair across the floor while he is eating! She has been taking lots of steps on her own, so it is only a matter of time!

Sears

We spent the day at the pool since it was so nice outside. As a result, I forgot to take any pics! Here is one of the pictures we had taken at Sears. Don't you just want to eat him up??

Drumlins Country Club

I met Kerri in Albany this morning with the kids. I had lunch with Lynne, Shawn, and baby Drew. I tried to post a new pic of him laughing but it wouldn't load and I need to get to bed since Ollie will probably be up in a bit with his other eye tooth. Ollie spent the day with Daddy at his golf club. They had a Futures Tour Event (women's) there this weekend. William said he flirted with all of the women. He said some of the players would just stop and talk to him! Here he is playing with Catherine, the daughter of William's friend, Sean. They watched Ollie for us a long time ago. Since then, Catherine names all of her dolls, Oliver! It is the sweetest thing!

Putt-Putt!

The kids go home tomorrow. It has been a fun week! Today was such a gorgeous day that they spent almost all of it int he pool. I finally made them get out about 4pm and we decided to go play some put-putt. Of course, William won. But...I had a hole in one and Paighty had 2! They even swam once we got home before it was time for bed! I wish I had video taped Kyle when they got here and today. He LOVES wearing goggles and "is in love with" (his words!) swimming under water. Ollie will miss having them around to play with. Hopefully, they will be back next weekend to see Great-Grandma Gildner!
