Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween! We went over to the Ides to do some trick or treating. Ollie was Old McDonald and Avery was a chicken. They were so cute, but not that interested in pictures! These were the best we could get! Ollie's hat was a little big, so at times it looked like a sombrero. It is a little cold here so I put his winter hat on under it, which is the top picture. They liked holding the candy :)

Pumpkin Carving!

We started to carve our pumpkins (we got a little carried away at the pumpkin farm and brought home 8!) tonight. William was so excited to have Ollie help him! Ollie did try to help at first, but didn't like the guts all over his hands!

A sheep says BAABAA

Ok to make up for not posting for a couple of days...here is a bonus post! We have been trying to get Ollie to associate animals with their sounds. Well, one down...how many to go?

Trick or Treat Practice

Yesterday we met my friend, Luann and her adorable little girls, Kelly and Sarah, at the mall in Rochester. They had a trick or treat event in the mall so we dressed the kids up. It was so fun! Ollie is technically suppose to be a farmer (since Avery is going to be a chicken) but everyone thought he was Woody from toy story, so we just went with it! The hat is a little big and ended up kind of looking like a sombrero so I did a little make-shift move so he isn't actually wearing it. Luann took better pics so I will try to post those later this week.

Finally...a Fall Day!

We FINALLY had a nice fall day, so Ollie and I decided to rake a few leaves and play outside. He loves being outside! We have a huge maple tree out front (which, by the way, has William convinced it will fall and crush our house) that always dumps piles and piles of leaves in the yard. Here are a few pics of Ollie playing in the leaves. He had a good time until he saw someone walking his dogs and then he was off....

Handsome...like Daddy!

Everyone who sees Ollie tends to think he looks just like me. While at first glance he probably does (one cannot deny that round face and eyes!), but I tell people that he looks just like William did at that age. At Oliver's birthday party when we were home, William's Aunt Sandy gave us some old pictures of William. I don't know how well they will come out since I took a picture of the old pictures with my phone! However, Ollie looks JUST like his Daddy at that age!

Pumpkin Patch Ride

Here is the video from the pumpkin patch.. I can already tell through his squeals that he is gonna LOVE roller coasters, like his mama! I guess all I have to teach him is..no hands! :)

The Pumpkin Patch!

We made a trip to The Hollow to pick put some pumpkins. Of course, we HAD to go pick them ourselves from the patch (not to mention some of the pre-picked ones were 7 bucks! Ridiculous, if I do say so myself). William wheeled the wheelbarrow and I pulled the kids in the wagon. We even got some video but it is on William's phone so I have to figure that out. For all you southerners...it is freakin' cold here! We jumped right to winter I guess, so the kids had to be bundled, however, you I did take a quick picture of his new vest and hat before I had to bundle him up...too cute! There was even a petting zoo area. Ollie liked the turkeys and Avery liked the llamas. Now, all we have to do is figure out what to carve on all 8 pumpkins!

New Carseat!

Well, we did it! We made it to the big boy car seat! Here is a pic of Ollie riding in it for the first time. He loved riding forward where he could see me, although I don't think he knew what to think at first :)

More Birthday Fun!

We had an eventful weekend! We had two birthday parties. Here are some pics of the good times! Hogan helped himself to Ollie's Pooh cake. Grandma Kamery made Ollie his first batch of glorified rice...it was oh so delicious! He had two helpings :) He had his own cupcake at both parties. The store one had an enormous amount of frosting and he smeared it everywhere! Gee, do you think they do that on purpose? Aunt Nelly, Uncle Roger, and Jackson sent a toy tractor that makes farm noises. He loved pushing it around! He got so many great toys and clothes! Grandma Sally got him a four-wheeler to ride on. He loved it..but Daddy's back sure won't!

Almost Walking!

Ollie is really starting to get the hang of walking. He use to do "the tin man" but has been getting better! Matt, Kelli, and Avery gave Ollie this walker for his birthday and he loves pushing it around!

When Mom's Away....

I had an appointment after school so William picked up Ollie. William thinks it is funny to give him his empty beer bottles. Don't worry, the are empty! You can't see it too well, but this is the new shirt Aunt Tiffer got Oliver for his bday!

Dear Ollie,

As we celebrate this amazing milestone, I feel we must take a minute and reflect on the journey we've taken these last 52 weeks! I always knew I would be a Mom, but I never knew how much I would LOVE being a Mom until they placed you on my belly one year ago, today. When I looked into your eyes, I knew in that instant that I was put on this Earth to be your Mom. Daddy and I were so excited to bring you home. We didn't know that you would cry all night! The three of us adjusted to a new sleep schedule and we learned all the little quirks about you. We learned that you liked to sleep swaddled, but with your arms out to the side and that you loved listening to either Mommy or Daddy sing. When I had to go back to work I thought the world would end, but you continued to be happy and well-adjusted. We marveled at the achievements you made: eating solid foods, rolling over, army crawling, regular crawling, cruising the furniture, to saying your first words. So, my handsome little man, Mommy is sad today because she knows that you're no longer the little baby that needs her for everything, but is instead becoming an independent, little boy...who hopefully still needs his Momma!
Happy Birthday, Ollie! I Love You!

Friends Birthday Party!

We had a friends birthday party today. It was spectacular...chaos! I think Ollie was a little overwhelmed! William, Tiff, and I made this elephant cake. My mom used to make us these cakes when we were little and I found the book that my mom gave me. It came out great! Ollie loved it...shoved it right in! He was pretty disinterested in the gifts until after I opened them. He had a great time playing with his friends: James, Emma, Jack, Avery, Haley, and Drew! He fell right asleep :) Can't wait to see what the pics will be tomorrow..he is taking in cupcakes for his friends at daycare!

Happy Birthday William!

Saturday, we went to Geneva for William's 1st birthday! It is so cute to see them together. William is walking all over! He had a monkey themed party and Aly made the cutest little monkey cake and cupcakes! So fun! Happy Birthday William!

Stairs

I know I haven't posted much this week, but I promise I have good excuses! First, Oliver has been sick. He is starting to get back to his old self, but we are not quite there yet. And trust me, you do not want to see pictures of the nastiness that was coming out of his nose! Second, this week has been busy! On top of meetings and such, we are getting ready for the big day! Hard to believe he will be a year old! I tried to take a video the other day of him trying to climb the stairs. It is a little dark on our computer so I hope you can see it ok. Still not walking, but we are getting closer!
