More Birthday Fun!

We had an eventful weekend! We had two birthday parties. Here are some pics of the good times! Hogan helped himself to Ollie's Pooh cake. Grandma Kamery made Ollie his first batch of glorified rice...it was oh so delicious! He had two helpings :) He had his own cupcake at both parties. The store one had an enormous amount of frosting and he smeared it everywhere! Gee, do you think they do that on purpose? Aunt Nelly, Uncle Roger, and Jackson sent a toy tractor that makes farm noises. He loved pushing it around! He got so many great toys and clothes! Grandma Sally got him a four-wheeler to ride on. He loved it..but Daddy's back sure won't!

Almost Walking!

Ollie is really starting to get the hang of walking. He use to do "the tin man" but has been getting better! Matt, Kelli, and Avery gave Ollie this walker for his birthday and he loves pushing it around!

When Mom's Away....

I had an appointment after school so William picked up Ollie. William thinks it is funny to give him his empty beer bottles. Don't worry, the are empty! You can't see it too well, but this is the new shirt Aunt Tiffer got Oliver for his bday!

Dear Ollie,

As we celebrate this amazing milestone, I feel we must take a minute and reflect on the journey we've taken these last 52 weeks! I always knew I would be a Mom, but I never knew how much I would LOVE being a Mom until they placed you on my belly one year ago, today. When I looked into your eyes, I knew in that instant that I was put on this Earth to be your Mom. Daddy and I were so excited to bring you home. We didn't know that you would cry all night! The three of us adjusted to a new sleep schedule and we learned all the little quirks about you. We learned that you liked to sleep swaddled, but with your arms out to the side and that you loved listening to either Mommy or Daddy sing. When I had to go back to work I thought the world would end, but you continued to be happy and well-adjusted. We marveled at the achievements you made: eating solid foods, rolling over, army crawling, regular crawling, cruising the furniture, to saying your first words. So, my handsome little man, Mommy is sad today because she knows that you're no longer the little baby that needs her for everything, but is instead becoming an independent, little boy...who hopefully still needs his Momma!
Happy Birthday, Ollie! I Love You!

Friends Birthday Party!

We had a friends birthday party today. It was spectacular...chaos! I think Ollie was a little overwhelmed! William, Tiff, and I made this elephant cake. My mom used to make us these cakes when we were little and I found the book that my mom gave me. It came out great! Ollie loved it...shoved it right in! He was pretty disinterested in the gifts until after I opened them. He had a great time playing with his friends: James, Emma, Jack, Avery, Haley, and Drew! He fell right asleep :) Can't wait to see what the pics will be tomorrow..he is taking in cupcakes for his friends at daycare!

Happy Birthday William!

Saturday, we went to Geneva for William's 1st birthday! It is so cute to see them together. William is walking all over! He had a monkey themed party and Aly made the cutest little monkey cake and cupcakes! So fun! Happy Birthday William!

Stairs

I know I haven't posted much this week, but I promise I have good excuses! First, Oliver has been sick. He is starting to get back to his old self, but we are not quite there yet. And trust me, you do not want to see pictures of the nastiness that was coming out of his nose! Second, this week has been busy! On top of meetings and such, we are getting ready for the big day! Hard to believe he will be a year old! I tried to take a video the other day of him trying to climb the stairs. It is a little dark on our computer so I hope you can see it ok. Still not walking, but we are getting closer!
